This can include a wide range of devices and technologies.  The CIDE Assistive Technology Clinic helps individuals find appropriate mobility devices (wheelchairs, scooters, etc.), communication aids, nighttime positioning equipment, and/or computer access devices and software.  Our clinicians also help determine the client’s best access for the recommended technology (such as eye gaze, switch control, joystick, etc.). These tools are designed to compensate for specific physical impairments and enable individuals to perform activities they might otherwise find challenging or impossible.
