Our team consists of specially-trained Cardiothoracic anesthesiologists who manage a range of cardiac, major vascular and thoracic procedures such as cardiopulmonary bypass. We are a referral center for complex aortic surgery, including acute dissections, aneurysms and traumatic aortic injuries. Our cardiac and vascular surgeons work seamlessly with interventional radiologists using stents in the treatment of thoracic and abdominal aortic aneurysms as well as in acute aortic dissections.

Our thoracic surgery service performs complex surgeries for patients with lung cancer and tuberculosis and is a major referral center for airway reconstruction surgeries. In addition we provide anesthesia care for patients in the adult catheterization laboratories. This includes electrophysiology studies, RF ablations, ICD and Amplatzer device placements, and angioplasty/stenting procedures for congenital heart anomalies. We are also available on a consult basis for management of non-cardiothoracic surgeries for patients with congenital heart disease and pulmonary hypertension. Our fellowship-trained team of Cardiothoracic Anesthesiologists specialize in the management of an array of cardiac, major vascular and thoracic procedures. We offer individualized care for each patient to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Our services include: preoperative evaluation, invasive monitoring, hemodynamic optimization, transesophageal echocardiography, management of cardiopulmonary bypass, total circulatory arrest, postoperative care of a patient following cardiac, vascular or thoracic surgery, and Intraoperative transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) to assess valvular function. Our experienced providers also bring years of expertise in the management of patients for heart and lung transplantation, ventricular assist device placement and pulmonary or esophageal resections.
