Microneedling

Microneedling encourages skin rejuvenation by creating intentional trauma to the skin with very fine needles. This injury to the skin signals to the body to generate new collagen and skin tissue, resulting in smoother, firmer, more toned skin.

Microneedling is mostly used on the face and may treat various scars, wrinkles, and large pores. It is most effective when done in a series. A numbing cream will be applied prior to the procedure to minimize any discomfort. After the treatment there will be some initial redness in the treatment area, which can last anywhere from 2-4 days. Some patients heal in as little as 24 hours.

Microneedling can be done with or without the addition of Platelet-Rich-Plasma (PRP). When done together this treatment is often called “the vampire facial.” This facial can improve a variety of skin concerns including fine lines, sun damage, deeper wrinkles and acne scarring.
