Healthy Expectations Perinatal IOP

The Healthy Expectations Perinatal Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is a specialized program designed to provide comprehensive care for individuals facing mood or anxiety challenges during pregnancy or the first year postpartum. If you are seeking more than routine outpatient mental health care, our IOP is here to offer targeted support and help you on the path to recovery quickly, laying the foundation for long-term success in your treatment. Program Overview

The Healthy Expectations IOP combines group and individual therapy along with care management to address a wide range of perinatal mental health concerns. Our team of providers includes experienced psychiatrists who can conduct medication evaluations and provide treatment when needed.

What We Treat

The IOP is suitable for those facing an increase in mental health symptoms, struggling in various life areas, or requiring more support than routine outpatient care offers. It's an effective option when inpatient care is not necessary.

Benefits of the IOP

  • Comprehensive Care: Our program includes group and individual therapy, parenting support, and caregiver-infant interventions.
  • Flexible Treatment: Individual therapy may be scheduled during IOP times. Medication evaluations and management with psychiatrists can be scheduled outside of IOP times.
  • Holistic Approach: Learn and practice skills to decrease mental health symptoms, enhance well-being and improve crucial relationships, including with your baby.
  • Preventive Care: Participation in the IOP may prevent the need for higher levels of inpatient care.

Program Commitment

The program requires a minimum of 9 hours per week, spread over three in-person sessions at the clinic on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Caregivers are encouraged to bring their babies and will be included in programming to support this important relationship.
