Vein Sclerosis

Vein sclerosis, or sclerotherapy, offers a minimally invasive solution to treating varicose veins causing pain or disfigurement. A thin catheter is introduced into veins, and they are closed up from the inside by introducing scarring liquids or lasers. Over time, your body reabsorbs the treated vein, improving appearance and potentially reducing pain, swelling and achiness.

Vein sclerosis offers several advantages:

  • Minimally invasive: no major incisions are needed.
  • Outpatient procedure: you can typically go home after the treatment.
  • Reduced recovery time: most people resume normal activities quickly.
  • Improved appearance: treated veins gradually fade from view.
