Embolization

Embolization is a minimally invasive procedure that offers a targeted solution for various vascular issues. In this procedure, a small catheter is advanced into blood vessels and tiny particles are injected to block specific vascular branches. Common applications include stopping bleeding from trauma, hemorrhoids and other vascular abnormalities; shrinking tumors by taking away blood supply; treatment of uterine fibroids; and reducing pain related to knee osteoarthritis. Embolization offers a less invasive alternative to traditional surgery, minimizing the risk of complications and reducing recovery times for patients.
