Clinical Interest for Patients
Breast imaging using all modalities (mammography, ultrasound, and MRI) to evaluate all breast diseases. Optimizing interventional techniques using appropriate modality. Radiologic-pathologic correlations to understand pathophysiological patterns in imaging in order to improve diagnostic accuracy.
Care Philosophy
I enjoy solving puzzles, including figuring out what is causing the symptoms my patients are having. I strive to explain clearly to my patients what I am seeing and what that means for them, listening to their concerns and answering all of their questions. I also believe in providing compassionate care, including performing interventional procedures as gently and painlessly as possible.

Interests & Activities
Personal Interests
I have way too many hobbies and not enough time for all of them! I love to read, especially science fiction and fantasy. Building jigsaw puzzles. I'm now into feeding our backyard birds and learning all about them. I enjoy baking, especially using my sour dough starter, and trying out new recipes. Photography, creating radiographic art, especially of flowers. Knitting, trying to learn Spanish. Gardening, and maintaining a weather station (uploading to Weather Underground) and rain gauge (uploaded to CoCoRaHS).
Volunteer Activities
I have given many presentations to breast cancer survivors and the interested public on mammography and the other tools we have to find and diagnose breast cancers. There are lots of questions that come up which I like to answer as clearly as possible. I also enjoy teaching our technologists what we are looking for and how to optimize their images for the task at hand.
