Provider Expertise
Clinical Interest for Patients
I have a variety of clinical interests and am always expanding my expertise. I am passionate about community based mental health care. I have unique training and experience in disaster behavioral health, a realm of preventive psychiatry that I pursue through my service in the Colorado Army National Guard as well as with local non-profit agencies including the Red Cross. My Doctoral work focuses on population mental health and surveillance. In addition to my mental health expertise, I have extensive experience working with schools to help children thrive. I have 13 years of nursing experience prior to pursuing my Nurse Practitioner and specialty in psychiatry which contributes to my experience as a holistic professional.
Care Philosophy
I believe holistic, well-integrated, and innovative care is vital in achieving the goals my clients have. My practice incorporates available evidence, creativity, and a passion for helping. Medication can sometimes play an important role in supporting mental health, and it is just one part of a much larger picture. My approach prioritizes thoughtful, individualized care, with an emphasis on what truly improves overall quality of life
