I direct the Preterm Labor Research Laboratory, a basic science group dedicated to finding new treatments to prevent preterm birth and the complications of prematurity.

We conduct translational research on the mechanisms of parturition signaling and myometrial changes in pregnancy. We are also interested in the pathophysiology of preeclampsia and fetal growth restriction related to nitric oxide and hydrogen sulfide.
