Research Interests for Patients

My vision is to make prevention of autoimmune diseases part of routine health care. To that end, I am the Director of the Autoimmune Disease Prevention Center (ADPC) at CU Anschutz. The ADPC has multiple research programs that are investigating how to prevent rheumatoid arthritis (RA) as well as other autoimmune diseases. In particular, the ADPC is collaborating on a research study called 'StopRA: National' that is funded by the Arthritis Foundation and is studying people from across the USA who have the blood marker ‘anti-CCP’ (which is a risk factor for RA) but do not have full-blown RA. You can learn more about the ADPC’s research activities and how to refer anti-CCP(+) individuals to StopRA: National, or directly participate in one of our research studies, at: https://medschool.cuanschutz.edu/centers/adpc or email ADPREVENTIONCENTER@CUANSCHUTZ.EDU
