Care Philosophy

My mission as a gastroenterologist and general hepatologist is to provide compassionate, evidence-based, and patient-centered care. I strive to build trusting partnerships with my patients, taking the time to understand their individual values, goals, circumstances, and priorities and incorporating these into shared decisions about their care. I am particularly passionate about the care of patients with liver disease across the spectrum, from prevention and early diagnosis to the management of advanced liver disease and evaluation for liver transplantation. I hope to bring a thoughtful and comprehensive approach to hepatology, addressing not only the medical complexity of liver disease but also its physical, emotional, social, and functional impact on patients and their families.
