Clinical Interest for Patients
I am interested in prevention and treatment of common chronic illnesses, such as hypertension and diabetes, especially through exercise prescription. I am also trained in a broad range of sports medicine topics, including arthritis, concussion, use of diagnostic/therapeutic ultrasound, disordered eating in athletes, dance medicine, and running medicine. My other clinical interests include addiction medicine (and office-based opioid treatment) and gender health.
Care Philosophy
I believe in empowering patients to improve their health, primarily through education and lifestyle changes that can prevent/treat chronic problems. I've worked with all kinds of people--young and old, healthy and sick, ultrarunners and ballet dancers, urban and rural, LGBTQIA, and everyone in between. My goal is for all of my patients to be their best, physically and mentally!
