Care Philosophy
Dr. Kramer is a highly experienced primary care physician and Associate Professor in the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Colorado, Anschutz where he has served as a primary care physician since 2017. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Obesity Medicine and Board Certified, specializing in obesity management and metabolic disease. His research interests are focused on diabetes technology (CGM and insulin pumps), patients with increased weight, and metabolic disease. He joined the Primary Care Diabetes Lab in 2023 and leads studies focused on diabetes technology. He has provided physician coaching on obesity care and nutrition, aiming to bridge the gap in physician education and ensure that patients receive high-quality care. He has co-founded the Colorado Obesity Society in 2024.

Obesity/weight management, acute illnesses, chronic disease, diabetes and diabetes technology, and preventive care. In addition to generally treating patients through all stages of life – infants, children, adults, and seniors – also provide skin care services, biopsies, joint injections, and gynecology services. Hepatitis C treatment, PrEP prophylaxis.
