My multi-disciplinary research group conducts research to prevent injuries through: communication and connection, informed decision-making, and efficient and effective interventions in healthcare settings. Emmy Betz is a board-certified emergency physician who conducts research in injury epidemiology and prevention, with specific interests in patient-centered injury prevention. Active, funded work includes examination of older driver safety and decision-making, firearm suicide prevention, and development and testing of injury prevention educational tools.
