Research Interests for Patients
I’m an assistant professor at the University of Colorado. My research focuses on epidemiological and clinical trials of critically ill patients, particularly on oxygen delivery, acute respiratory failure, and traumatic injury. I was the site co-PI of two trials assessing the effects of hyperoxemia in critically injured trauma (NCT04534959) and burn (NCT04534972) patients. I am the site PI for a clinical trial investigating autonomous oxygen titration for critically ill patients (NCT06374225) and the overall PI of a prospective cohort study assessing the role of early fibrinogen replacement in critically ill trauma patients. National clinical trial network leadership includes the NIH Accelerating Strategies and Treatments for Respiratory and Viral Emergencies (STRIVE). Funding for my research includes the NIH (NHLBI & NIGMS) and DoD.
