Provider Expertise
Clinical Interest for Patients
My clinical focuses include the diagnosis and management of stable coronary and peripheral artery disease as well as the acute management of heart attacks. In addition I have a strong focus on prevention to reduce the risk of having a heart attack using lifestyle changes and established medical therapies, as well as offering options for investigational prevention therapies when appropriate for the individual. I am a site investigator for the EVOLVE-MI trial for early initiation of PCSK9 inhibitor after heart attack as well as the SPYRAL AFFIRM trial for renal artery denervation to treat chronically elevated blood pressure that has been resistant to medical therapy.
Care Philosophy
I treat cardiovascular and peripheral vascular diseases with a team approach. My goal is to inform a patient about the condition or question, then listen and understand an individual's unique values so we can choose the best treatment path forward that aligns with their goals. This includes through lifestyle changes as well as medical or percutaneous intervention when they are needed.
